Raya Eid Fitr is an important day celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadhan. Known as a 'Victory Day', it is a victory day for Muslims who has been fasting for 29 days (depend on the new moon), which is obligatory as it is part of 'Five Pillar of Islam'.
On the victory day, we are celebrating the day by visiting or 'beraya' to our relatives from afar or nearby. It is the tradition from our ancestors to strengthen the relationship with our families and updating each other.
Sekolah Perdagangan also not missing out of having Raya celebration. After the orientation of new intake, the students decided to have the celebration at school. We were divided into groups and each group would bring foods according to different themes like American Style, Kampong Style, Japanese Cuisine, Indian Food etc.
As 'beraya' is like visiting to others, that what students did. We visited to other classes and enjoy the foods. And at the same time, we were making friends with the freshies and having catch up session with the tutors since that time was our first week after school holiday.
